The Clear and Simple Way

Dearest Timeless Ones,

The above quote suits the times we are living in, don’t you think? Certainly, we are living in perilous times, as has always been the case. There have always been wars, famines, plagues, natural catastrophes…but none of us have ever lived through a worldwide pandemic till now, at least no one taking these lessons.

There are some who say the coronavirus is nature taking her revenge, that nature is angry. It makes me sad when I hear that. Because Mother Nature is not a human being. She is a living Being for sure. But she is not human. It is human beings who seek revenge. Human beings who get angry and violent. Not Mother Earth. 

Humans in their ignorance have no recourse but to believe that all other beings are just like them. Earth is a Being. She is Being. Simply Being. Mother Earth spins on her axis around Sun (who is also a Being) for eons of time. And she never gets bored. She never wishes to be what she is not. She never hates. She never thinks thoughts of revenge. She is not on our level. 

Human beings, who can think only from their own level, project that level onto others, onto Earth, onto Nature. All human beings do not live at the same level. There are different levels—of consciousness. Everyone lives from their own level. 

You are seeking to rise to higher and higher levels. You are not only seeking, you are doing—that is, you are doing the work necessary to raise your level of consciousness. There’s a phrase that says you are not a human doing—you are a human being. But…you can’t get to the Being without the Doing. You have to do something different. You can’t continue with your old nature and expect to find a new nature. Everything in life requires doing. I am doing something now—writing this lesson—and you are doing something—reading it. 

When someone projects human nature onto Earth, they can only project their own level of thinking. Fortunately, you and I have angels. We do not have to depend upon only human thought. I will be using the words Mother, Mother Earth, and Mother Nature interchangeably as I write. 

Yes, Earth is hurt by the choices the human race has made and continues to make. But to think that she is full of anger and revenge is to believe that she lives at a low level of consciousness. Think about what happens to you when you are overcome by intense rage and thoughts of revenge. Where do you feel it in your body? What happens to your spirit? 

Can you agree that uncontrolled anger and revenge raging through your mind and body hurts? It’s painful, isn’t it? It closes your heart. It frightens your soul. The more rage, the more you become—frozen. Frozen in time. You lose contact with Something Higher.

Scientists surmise that the majority of dinosaurs were killed when an asteroid struck earth around 66 million years ago, triggering huge tsunamis and other planetary disturbances. Was earth mad at the dinosaurs and other species upon her surface? Was Mother Nature getting her revenge? Of course not.

This is not to say that global warming is not real. Human beings have used and abused earth for a long time now. And there are repercussions. But it is not earth taking revenge. It is nature following the laws of nature. It really is that simple. 

When you hear stories about Nature getting angry and taking revenge, how does it make you feel? Afraid? Bad? It’s like a child being told that their mother is out of control and wants to kill it, hurt it. Fear begats fear. You are not meant to live in fear.

The angels are here to tell you that, yes, everything you do, everything man does, affects everything else. AND— earth is not taking her revenge. BUT—there are natural laws. Human beings, in their unconsciousness, in their greed, in their hubris, believe they can use and take and grab and throw away—with no consequences. 

Mother Nature is not angry. She is not like you and me. She is not seeking revenge. It is humans who seek revenge. Nature simply follows natural laws; the oceans ebb and flow; the moon waxes and wanes; the seasons change. 

1  To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

2  A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

3  A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

4  A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

5  A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

6  A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

7  A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

8  A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. 

It really is that simple: Nature follows natural laws. But the human mind loves to create complications. How much easier to see the clear and simple way. Then you see Truth. Truth is always clear and simple. Human egos have taken over—over taken—earth—with greed. They have not cared for her. They continue to harm her. And in so doing, they harm themselves. 

Mother Earth does not turn outward with anger when she is ravaged by the choices humans have made. No. She turns inward, ever inward—there she finds her own heart beating in divine harmony with God. She knows what humans have yet to learn—that God is always here and that she is more than earth—she IS. She is one with all that IS. 

She knows that even her body is temporary—surely it exists for millions of years more than a human body—but she understands time—and that even her body may one day disappear into the great timelessness that is God. But she does not fear. She uses her time wisely—to grow closer to God—so that she, too, evolves into enlightenment and remains there—which is the only way to escape time and enter into eternity.

Mother earth has no time to get mad, get angry, get revenge. She is too busy being—revolving—evolving. There are those who want to tell you that Mother Nature is angry and is unleashing her violence, her retribution, upon humankind. The ones who say this are speaking from their own level of consciousness. They are attributing lower level consciousness onto Beings with higher level of consciousness. Can you see from the view at the top of the mountain if you are in the valley far below?

Are Mother Earth’s children being hurt? Are her oceans being filled with junk? Are her rainforests being devastated? Is her air being polluted? 

Do her children who live in the seas weep? Do her children who live in the jungles and forests weep? 

Do the great elephants and whales and dolphins and octopuses who live at a very high level of consciousness weep? 

Do human beings who see the pain of earth and all her children…do they weep?

But even as you weep, do you decide to let uncontrolled anger take you over, tell you what to do? Do you want revenge upon other human beings? Do you want to send volcanoes and tornadoes and plagues to other human beings? Do you imagine killing other human beings?

I think not. Though I know that you have dark thoughts, thoughts you do not want anyone to know about. I also know that you are not those dark thoughts, that you work hard to find your way out of darkness into light.

If you, yourself, do not want to harbor such dark thoughts and feelings, then how could you believe that Mother Earth could? How could anyone attribute such darkness to such a Being of Light as our Mother?

So do not fear. Mother Nature is not angry. She is part of the laws of the universe—scientific laws. She has no personal involvement. Earth existed long before humankind, and so did the forces of Nature. Winds blew, volcanoes erupted, tornadoes swept through—long before there were human beings committing terrible selfish acts. 

Take a moment, if you can, to imagine Earth before man existed. Can you get a picture in your head? Just earth. Before animals or humans. Just earth and all the natural forces. No anger. No revenge.

Mother Nature is not mad at you or anyone. She is a natural dynamic force that follows natural scientific laws. For every action there is a reaction. We are experiencing many reactions now.

The virus got out of control when human beings chose not to work together, to compete and try to win, when they cast blame and shame. Human beings have been using and abusing animals since forever. You’ve all heard the story of Daniel in the Lions’ Den from the Bible, right? That was a horrible thing to do with lions, let alone humans. They starved the lions so they would be forced to attack humans. They forced humans to try to kill the lions to defend themselves.

Factory farms have contributed to the diseases that skip from animals to human beings. Human beings eat the flesh of animals that are kept in horrible conditions. They eat the flesh of animals that are filled with chemicals. They eat the flesh of animals whose last moments are filled with fear, releasing fear hormones into their bodies, which humans then imbibe.

It is human beings who go to war and kill. It is men who rape. It is human beings who let each other starve. It is selfish egos who hoard wealth. It is greedy egos who charge so much money for drugs that should be available to help everyone. It is evil politicians who lie and cheat and imprison innocent human beings, even children. It is human beings who choose to become terrorists. This is the nature of ego that controls this world.

Mother Earth never makes such choices. Suffering encourages her to turn deeper within…and deeper…to her own heart where she is eternally embraced, eternally whole, at one with everything that IS, one with Love.

Mother Earth is not unintelligent. Enlightenment is Intelligence. Divine Intelligence. And so our Mother becomes more of what she IS. More of love. She does not become hard. She becomes softer. So soft. Soft with acceptance of what she cannot change. Soft with surrender. Soft with love. Soft enough to hold all suffering.

You know this for yourself. All you have to do is go into nature, forests, mountains, oceans—and you are in held softness. Your hardness begins to melt. You melt into the softness of Mother’s Divine Love. You are held. You always have nature to turn to, so turn to her. Let her softness and her strength hold you, until there is no “you” left to be held.

Our Mother does not send pandemics and natural catastrophes out of revenge with the intent to harm. They just happen, according to the cosmic and universal laws of science. Does man affect these changes? Yes, when humans choose to live outside of natural law, when they believe their desires, their wants, are most important—when they believe that...

MY WORD IS TRUTH.

Our Mother only loves. She sinks deeper into love so that she might cradle her children, the trees and flowers, with love. Deeper into love so that she might cradle all sea life with love. Deeper so she might hold all the animals upon the earth with love. When a great elephant falls to earth because some evil ego has shot it, earth cradles that elephant with love. Earth knows that her only purpose is to love and love. She is a highly evolved being, evolving more each day into more love. We cannot even begin to fathom her greatness. Only when we evolve to higher levels can we know the higher evolutions of love.

And this is your purpose—to evolve and keep evolving—into Love. As Mother revolves for eons, so do we revolve on the wheel of life, incarnation after incarnation, until we evolve completely into Love. 

It is wrong to look to Mother Nature and say that she is getting her revenge. We only have to look to ourselves. We have to look at how we live. How we treat animals all over the world. We only have to look at the way we treat our Mother. We have trashed her waters and rainforests. But Mother Earth is not angry and seeking revenge. We have created our own revenge by how we have chosen to live.

You are choosing to live another way. Keep making nonviolent choices in your thinking and speaking and feeling and acting and living

Think for yourself. No matter what anyone says, no matter what I write here. Think. For. Yourself. Imbibe these words, read them again and again, study them with other students when you can. Search for their deeper meanings. 

Thank you for showing up today. I know this is arriving a day late. It’s not that I didn’t show up on time to write it. I did. But nothing was happening. Usually, I sit, I write. But this time, I sat and…nothing. Blank. I wondered if I would be able to write a lesson. I'd had many ideas in the last days, but they all…disappeared.

Finally, today, I gave up and went for a very long walk in the forest alone with Mother Nature. I came upon a deer. We stood very still and gazed at each other. After a while, she figured out I wasn’t a tree and ran away. Then I came home and ate something. And then I sat some more with my laptop…and at last…the lesson came. 

I finally understood that it was taking so long because I was up-leveling—reaching a new level. I could not access this lesson from my current level of consciousness—I had to up-level to a higher level. It just took a few days for that to happen. I had to go into Nature and be held by Mother’s love and calm to bring me to a higher level where I could access these higher teachings from the angelic realm.

Remember that Earth is our teacher. Learn from her as you learn from this lesson. Go into softness, not hardness, no matter what happens to you or earth. Let your tears of weeping becomes tears of love and compassion. Do not let your heart become hard. Do not think it is your lot to suffer—no matter what happens to earth, no matter what happens to you. 

It is only Love that will save you. Only Love that will save earth. Only Love is real. All else is transient, passing away like clouds in a clear blue sky. Clouds come, clouds go. Sky remains. 

1. Notice when you are projecting your thoughts and feelings onto another person, an animal, or Mother Nature. Ask yourself what you need to learn from this.

1. Make a conscious effort to notice what level you are living at. Tell yourself the truth. If you are thinking angry thoughts, that is the level you are living at.

1. Be willing to let go of the level you are living at so you may rise to a higher level.
